John has been tattooing in Birmingham since 1980, working with Mickey Sharpze until opening his own shop in Selly Oak during 1984. In 1990 John took over the Oz Tattoo studio in Rubery and managed them both until 2018 when he decided to focus solely on the Rubery shop in which he now works John likes to vary his work and styles as this keeps him fresh but favours old school tattoo and bold Japanese styles.
